Kenney Vo
Coach Kenney was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and is a proud graduate of Lafayette High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL). He began his coaching journey as a personal trainer, working for four years while earning his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. He later returned to UL to complete a Master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science, gaining hands-on experience in the strength and conditioning department by working with the university’s football, baseball, and volleyball teams.
With over 12 years of experience, Coach Kenney has worked with a wide range of individuals—from professional athletes and young children to everyday people striving for a healthier lifestyle. He holds multiple certifications, including:
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) – NSCA
USA Weightlifting Level 2 Coach (USAW-L2)
Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRC-MS)

I began my coaching journey in 2017 as a way to give back to others on their fitness journeys. Witnessing the transformative power of fitness in my own life, I wanted to share that experience and help others achieve their goals. While CrossFit initially drew me in with its intensity and camaraderie, I’ve since discovered my true passion in functional bodybuilding. This training style combines the best of CrossFit—like gymnastics movements—with a well-rounded, sustainable approach to fitness that’s perfect for longevity and progression as we age.
Over the years, I’ve competed in CrossFit, completed numerous races, and even ran a half marathon in the breathtaking Grand Canyon. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the connection between strength, endurance, and resilience—qualities I aim to instill in every client I work with.
Who I Coach: I love working with individuals who not only want to feel strong but also want to look their best. My coaching philosophy is rooted in a sustainable, long-term approach to fitness and nutrition. No quick fixes or fad diets here—just smart, science-backed strategies to help you thrive both inside and outside the gym.
